Contractors working on site
When a contractor works at Test Medical Centre Foundation, both parties share responsibility (as PCBUs) for health and safety. So far as reasonably practicable, we consult, cooperate with, and coordinate activities with the contractor, as outlined below.
It is the practice's responsibility to take reasonable practicable steps to ensure contractors' safety during their contracted work. The practice manager or delegated person should meet any contractor before the work is started, and brief them on relevant health and safety information, including:
Contractors are responsible for complying with health and safety legislation, and for recording and reporting any accidents that harm themselves or any other person.
Contractors must have their own compliant health and safety system in place (and provide evidence if asked).
