Clinical Governance

• Page reviewed and updated following new guidance from RNZCGP and assessor feedback.
• New requirement: Quality Action Plan. We have linked to the RNZCGP template. This is now a requirement for Foundation.
• Clinical Governance Terms of Reference removed as this is no longer required for Foundation. Information about your meeting frequency etc has been moved to the Clinical Governance Procedure section.
• New section: Clinical Governance Procedure. This is because Foundation now requires the policy to include information about meeting frequency, chair, agenda, and minutes.
• New section: Roles and Responsibilities. This is to make this information stand out more clearly.
• Practices can now provide their own policy statement if they want to. This is optional.

Position Descriptions

• Removed because they are personal documents and specific to the individual.
• Practices doing the Cornerstone Equity module should upload position descriptions with equity statements into SmartSheet at evidence.

NEW: Photos, Filming, and Recording

• New policy covering:
  • Clinicians taking clinical photos.
  • Patients taking photos or recording.
  • Covert recordings.
• If you have a blanket no filming or recording policy, let us know. We can change this sentence for you.

Policy Reviews

• Clearer explanations added for what our monthly reviews include.
• Policy review process added to explain the process we follow to review policies.
• Added note that updating information does not constitute a full review.
• Definitions added for policy, procedure, and document control.
